The report named the east-wing lighting panel that still feeds the old print room. Our previous year-end pack had treated that kWh as “offices.” I would have liked the draft a week earlier for the trustees’ pack, but the meter photographs saved an argument in the room.
Client notes
What the documents were used for
These notes refer to named kinds of work on this site. They are not marketplace scores.
They stood through a weekday firing and wrote down that boiler 3 was valved off, which our log already showed. The written season note is what I can hand to a new operator in October without telling the whole winter again.
The notes refused to invent a tenant meter that is not there. The shop still disputes the dock lamps, but at least the document says the circuit is common. That is the sentence I needed in the circular.
I inherited a drawer of faded tags. The register’s photographs are how I find M-07 behind the water softener. It is a paper job, and that is what we needed.
Longer note: river campus, reporting year 2025
The campus had three electricity accounts and a central heating plant. The previous year-end pack had rolled east-wing lighting into “offices.” During the walk, the reporter photographed a panel that still fed the former print room, now a storage bay with high-bay lamps on a timeclock that failed open.
The whole-building report put that circuit on its own line in the lighting table and noted the failed timeclock as an observation, not a repair. The facilities director used the page in a trustees’ meeting. The draft arrived after the first agenda mailing; the final PDF was used in the minutes pack.
A second visit was not required. The meter register produced on the same walk remains in the plant office.
